Last year's, Classic Chairman Tony Branch was awarded a game ball for his service to the Classic.
The Sertoma Club has as its motto: "kids helping kids". This expresses our purpose and focus as a civic organization. It meets weekly on Wednesdays for lunch at 12:30 at the Citadel Alumni Center (small dining room) and where it gathers for fellowship and to hear an informative speaker at each meeting. The Sertoma Club of Charleston raises money each year to help out less fortunate individuals in the Charleston area. Its sole fundraiser is The Sertoma High School Football Classic.
The 40th edition of the Sertoma Classic will take place in August 19th and 20th. It will feature a special theme of four decades of Sertoma football in the Lowcountry with a look back at some of the prominent alumni players over the years who have gone on to the collegiate and professional football ranks. This year's 40th Anniversary Classic Chairman is Laurie Holscher.
